Dabble was founded in 2020 by Tom Rundle, a former executive at CrownBet and PointsBet, alongside CSO Jonathan Robin. The company took its first bet in 2021 and is owned by Dabble Sports Pty Ltd, with offices in Darwin, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Albury.
In October 2022, Tabcorp acquired a 20% equity stake for $33 million. This was followed by Dabble’s acquisition of rival app Moneyball in February 2023. The company has since grown rapidly, with revenue reaching $117 million in FY24 and projections exceeding $200 million for FY25.
Yes. Dabble is licensed by the Northern Territory Racing Commission and is 100% Australian owned. Tabcorp’s 20% backing adds further credibility.
At the time of writing, Dabble scores 2.0 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 32 reviews, but the app store ratings tell a more positive story. As with most bookmakers on Trustpilot, many complaints relate to standard verification and AML requirements rather than genuine service failures.
Dabble is unlike any other bookie in Australia. Built as a social betting platform, it feels more like a sports-focused social media app. There are 20+ sports including AFL, NRL, NBA, NFL, soccer, tennis, cricket, golf, darts, motorsport and MMA, plus racing across all three codes and esports markets on CS2, Dota 2 and League of Legends.
Dabble pioneered the social betting concept in Australia. The Copy Bet function is the headline feature – nearly half of all bets on Dabble are copied from other users. You can follow friends, tipsters and sporting personalities, then replicate their bets with one tap. It’s worth noting that Dabble was the first Australian bookie to introduce the activity feed and copy bet functionality – Sportsbet and others have since followed suit with their own versions.
Banter Channels provide sport-specific chat rooms, and group chats let you create private betting circles with mates. Same game multis are available on major sports with a live SGM Tracker, and same race multis plus Quaddie betting round out the racing product. Live racing streams via Sky 1 and Sky 2 are built into the app, though there’s no sports streaming. Cash out is available pre-match only, in full – partial cash out is not supported.
The promotions are probably the weakest part of the Dabble offering. Outside of a few unique features, the regular promos tend to be limited. It’s not terrible, but it pales in comparison to the promo depth you’ll find at the likes of Ladbrokes or Neds.
Dabble’s odds are fairly good across the board. Racing prices generally sit on par with the major bookmakers like Sportsbet and TAB, and we’ve found the sports odds to be competitive more often than not. They won’t always be the best price in the market, but they’re rarely the worst either – and for a newer bookie, that’s a solid position.
The choice of deposit methods at Dabble is more limited than most established bookmakers. Debit cards (Visa and Mastercard), PayID and Apple Pay are the core options. The minimum deposit is $5 and all deposits are credited instantly with no fees.

Withdrawals are where Dabble truly shines – or so they say. The Fast Withdrawals feature processes payouts via OSKO/PayID with a claimed average of just 8.74 seconds, but this is only relevant to certain banks. Where Fast Withdrawals aren’t available, standard bank transfers are processed daily, with requests before 3pm AEDT actioned the same day. The minimum withdrawal is $5.
Dabble doesn’t just have an app – it is an app. There’s no desktop platform, which means all development has gone into the mobile experience. The result is the highest-rated betting app in Australia.
iOS users rate it an outstanding 4.8* on the App Store, while the Android equivalent scores 4.6* on Google Play from over 100,000 downloads. For context, that’s significantly higher than rival apps like PlayUp (4.0* iOS) and Picklebet (4.6* iOS). The interface is clean and intuitive, built around five main tabs: Feed, Search, Betting, Banter and Profile.
There’s no welcome bonus due to Australian gambling regulations. However, you can enter the Dabble referral code GOBET when signing up, then log into your account to see promotions for existing players.
Don’t expect too much here though – the ongoing promos are fairly thin compared to the likes of Ladbrokes or Neds.
Dabble offers live chat, email (support@dabble.com.au) and phone support at 1800 DABBLE (1800 322 253). The support team is entirely Australia-based across five offices.
Here’s how to create your Dabble account:
If automated verification succeeds, you’re good to go. Otherwise, you’ll need to upload ID (passport, driver’s licence or Medicare card) before accessing your account.
Dabble is genuinely unlike any other bookmaker in Australia. The social features aren’t a gimmick – Copy Bet, Banter Channels and the activity feed create a real community around punting, with the banter channels constantly active across a whole range of sports. The app is first-class and Fast Withdrawals are extremely beneficial to users – that being said, the experience does vary depending on what bank you are with.
Where it falls short is the limited payment options, no desktop platform and restricted cash out. But overall, this is a fresh, innovative betting experience that’s particularly well-suited to social punters and younger demographics who want more than just odds on a screen.
